Start with the episode, not the browser
When an episode opens without English subtitles, pause and look for its caption or language menu. A previous episode can remember a different setting. Choose English for the current episode and play a short scene with dialogue before changing any device settings.
Spoken language and subtitle language are different
Korean identifies the original spoken language of a K-drama. English subtitles are a separate track, as are captions for sound effects and speaker names. Read the language options on the viewing edition you open from the title page. A translated synopsis does not tell you which tracks a particular episode has.
When the words do not match the scene
A delay that stays the same can sometimes be adjusted in the player’s subtitle synchronization controls. A delay that becomes larger may mean the captions belong to a different episode cut. Recheck the installment, opening recap and runtime rather than repeatedly making the text faster or slower.
Phone captions that disappear on a television
Casting can use a different player from the one on your phone. Choose subtitles on the receiving screen as well. If they remain missing, compare a supported TV app with browser casting. Picture-in-Picture can also display captions differently, so return to the full player before concluding that the track is absent.
Make dialogue comfortable to read
Where the player offers subtitle customization, try a solid or semi-transparent background and a moderately larger font. White lettering over a pale costume can be difficult to follow even when the track works. Keep captions away from a television’s cropped edges and check whether your display is overscanning.
